I have lived in the Hudson Valley of Upstate New York for most of my life. I have worked in the athletic profession for the past fourteen years. My roles encompass everything from Team Captain to Coach to Therapeutic Activities Specialist.

I am currently looking to continue my career in Therapeutic Recreation Activities as a Specialist or Director.

My educational background is at Virginia Wesleyan College, Norfolk, VA where I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Sports and Recreation, with a minor in Business Admininstration.

Theraputic Recreation -Successfully initiated and implemented “FitQuest” program at YMCA.
-Worked closely with people living with disabilities in a hospital environment.
-Coordinated activities for residents at hospital and housing facilities.
-Volunteered to instruct and assist the Special Olympics.

Stony Lodge Hospital - Theraputic Specialist - Planned and implemented therapeutic activities for patients ages 5 – 18
- Participated in patient treatment- team meetings
- Provided Doctors and Clinical Therapists with detailed treatment plans as well as weekly progress notes
-Implement intervention techniques to de-escalate patients during crisis situations

Personal Training - Assessed goals and objectives of clients.
-Instructed and demonstrated proper form and technique for exercise routines.

-Advised clients on dietary routines to establish peak performance.

Coaching - Worked along with professional athletes to train and mentor children at youth camps.

-Analyzed player performance and instructed them in game strategies and techniques to prepare for competition.
